TestSafe Update
Some users have reported that their access to TestSafe has been discontinued.
The final mock ups of the electronic forms were recently presented to a group of GPs from across the region. Feedback was positive with the meeting confirming the project’s approach and more importantly raising no major issues. Forms development is now well underway with testing planned to commence in the new year, ready to pilot in the first quarter of 2011.
Dr. Kim Bannister from the project’s clinical panel gets the nod of approval from GPs.
A meeting was held this month with Clinical Heads from services not included in phase 1 to discuss their involvement in phase 2 of the eReferrals solution development and rollout.
Phase 2 will be separated into three releases. The first release will focus on services which currently receive their referrals direct from GPs to continue to receive them directly but in an electronic format. Services such as Allied Health, Sexual Health, Mental Health, Child and Youth Health and Older People’s Health will be included.
The second release will include triage and tracking in hospital by clinicians and the third release electronic referrals between and within hospital secondary and tertiary services.
Dr. Dianne Davis from Northland District Health Board is joining our clinical panel to provide feedback and guidance on the next phase of eReferrals. Electronic referrals have been in use in Northland over the past 18 months and have proved successful with the majority of GP referrals to hospital now created and submitted electronically.
Clinical Panel members include:
GP Liaisons: Jim Kriechbaum; Kim Bannister; Harley Aish; Dianne Davis.
Hospital Clinicians:
Jeffrey Garrett, CMDHB; Susan Stott, ADHB; Tony Scott, WDHB.
The eReferrals project team would like to thank everyone we have worked with over the year for their support and enthusiasm. We look forward to delivering a robust and efficient referrals system to Auckland GPs in 2011.
In the meantime, we wish you all a safe and happy holiday season.
